6G-OPENSEC_KEYS - Quantum key distribution for security in open and disaggregated 6G networks

6G-OPENSEC-KEYS (within the coordinated project 6GOPENSEC) aims to make a revolutionary change in the security that will be required in 6G networks to meet the challenge of open and disaggregated network and computing technologies, as well as the ‘threat of quantum computing. Specifically, the 6G-OPENSEC-KEYS project proposes to adopt flexible and efficient software-controllable quantum key distribution (QKD) solutions using SDN technology to ensure security in 6G networks. An integration of QKD technologies will also be promoted in a sustainable manner considering the deployed network infrastructure and a better use of network resources.
