Artificial intelligence (AI)-driven zero-touch massive network slicing is envisioned to be a disruptive technology in 6G, where tenancy will be extended to the final consumer in the form of advanced digital use-cases. To meet different security requirements of network slice implementation, CTTC proposes a quantum-safe slicing approach to intelligently control the type of encryption for different levels of security and sensitive data. This research line is perfectly in line with the EU’s Toolbox for 5G security, a set of measures to strengthen security requirements for mobile networks; assess the risks posed by suppliers; limit any dependency on a single vendor, and stimulate the EU’s own 5G capabilities.
